Working In Extreme Temperatures

The Chamber, in collaboration with the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, will host Hancock County Safety Council, featuring a presentation on Working in Extreme Temperatures on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm. This webinar costs $10 to attend.

The webinar will feature main speakers Dr. Tim Murphy, Department Chair, Associate professor, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Management Programs, The University of Findlay; and Carl Habekost, Head of the Labor & Employment department at Bugbee & Conkle

In the session, attendees will learn how to recognize the symptoms of thermal stress, hypothermia, and frostbite; how to conduct a job hazard analysis to mitigate the risk of thermal stress and health hazards for employees working in cold temperatures; the legal requirements for compliance with OSHA regulations and other workplace safety requirements for cold weather environments.
