Hancock County Safety Council: Behavioral Based Safety

The Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation will host Hancock County Safety Council, featuring a presentation titled “Behavioral Based Safety” on Thursday, April 4 from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm at the Hilton Garden Inn in Findlay. The event costs $25 to attend. The event will feature main speaker Mona Weiss, with Ohio BWC.

 

In this session, attendees will learn the benefits of a behavioral based safety program, basic elements of a behavioral based safety program, and how to evaluate their organization’s readiness levels for behavioral based safety.

About Mona Weiss: Mona is a career-long EHS professional, achieving her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety Engineering from Murray State University in 1988. She is a passionately committed consultant, with the goal to improve employees’ lives through the betterment of health and safety systems in the workplace. Prior to her current role as an Ergonomist, Mona was the Construction Safety Specialist for our NW Ohio region. Before joining the BWC, she worked as in EHS management for 3 Forbes-rated companies across Ohio, Michigan and North Carolina – and also in Finland. Mona holds her CHST, is a federally authorized OSHA OUTREACH construction trainer and a published blogger and author. Mona is a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Grand Rapids and lives with her husband on a small horse farm in Swanton.
