Lunch & Learn with ADAMHS – Cultural Humility & Health Disparities

The Chamber of Commerce will host a Lunch & Learn session titled “Cultural Humility and Health Disparities” in partnership with the Hancock County Board of Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS). This Lunch & Learn will take place on Wednesday, September 25 from 12 to 1 pm am in the Chamber Boardroom, located at 123 E. Main Cross St.

Attendees of this program can expect to explore the difference between cultural competence and cultural humility, discover how equality and equity relate to personal and professional experiences, learn how social determinates of health impact an employee’s wellbeing, and to discuss with colleagues how the business community can work to improve local health disparities.

This session is part of a series of luncheons hosted by the Chamber and the ADAMHS Board in 2019. These quarterly luncheons are designed to educate attendees on medical marijuana, drug-free workplace policies, cultural humility & health disparities, and prevention.

Attendees may bring their own lunch, or purchase a working lunch for $15 provided by the Chamber. Seats are limited, advanced registration is required. The deadline for registration including lunch is September 23.
