The Impact of Excessive Rainfall on our Community

The Findlay∙Hancock County Chamber of Commerce will host Fresh Brewed Business on Tuesday, August 6th from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts (MCPA), located at 200 W. Main Cross St.

The main speaker for August is Stacie Anderson from Legacy Farmers Co-Operative, who will discuss the ripple effects of this spring’s excessive rainfall on our community. Several additional speakers will be in attendance, covering segments related to the topic.

Steve Wilson, Project Manager for the Hancock County Commissioners Office, will give a County Update; Ellyn Schmeising from FOCUS will give a Mental Health Update; Dave Thomas with the Hancock County Fairgrounds will give an Ag Update; Katherine Howell from the UF Pharmacy Program will give a Health Update; and Alice LaLone with the Boy Scouts of America Black Swamp Area Council will provide a Non-Profit Update.

This monthly program is a business and professional development program of the Chamber of Commerce designed to offer a variety of information to the business community, inform Chamber members about public issues, and establish a stronger voice for the business community. Non-members are welcome and encouraged to attend as well so they may experience the value of a membership with the Chamber of Commerce.
