Hancock County Safety Council

Hancock County Safety Council holds regular meetings to increase awareness of a safe environment in the workplace. Safety Council is partially funded through the Ohio Department of Safety and Hygiene and meets once a month to inform participants of new safety techniques, services, and provide a thorough knowledge of topics, including occupational safety and health, workers’ compensation and risk management education.

Eligible employers participating in BWC’s Safety Council Discount Program can earn a two percent premium discount. An additional two percent performance bonus is available for employers that reduce either frequency or severity of claims by ten percent or more below the previous year, or that maintain both frequency and severity at zero.
