Focus on the Now

The Findlay-Hancock County Chamber of Commerce will host a women’s leadership luncheon titled “Focus on the Now” featuring main speaker Dr. Renee Smith, Chief Medical Officer of the Blanchard Valley Health System, on Thursday, August 25 from 11:30 am – 1 pm at the Hancock Hotel.

Dr. Smith will be presenting on leadership behavior and how it has elevated her on her career path.

Attendees can expect to learn:

  • Anyone can be a leader and influence
  • Focus on what is right and right in front of you
  • Make sure you understand your priorities

About Dr. Smith:

Renee Smith, MD, is the chief medical officer of Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS). She holds a bachelor of science degree in medical microbiology and immunology from the University of Wisconsin (Madison) and an executive master of business administration degree from the University of Wisconsin (Oshkosh).

Dr. Smith obtained her doctor of medicine degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed her family medicine residency at Waukesha Family Practice, an affiliate of the Medical College of Wisconsin. She is board certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Dr. Smith acquired many years of executive leadership experience from her time at Aspirus Network, Inc., a clinically integrated provider network in Wausau, Wisconsin, where she served in a variety of roles, including regional director, chief of staff, chief medical officer, executive director and medical branch director – COVID emergency operations center.
