Downtown Findlay Coordinator Named

FINDLAY, Ohio (April 11, 2016) – The Findlay·Hancock County Economic Development office has announced that Carla Treadway has joined its team Downtown Findlay Coordinator.

Treadway holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Care Administration, and a Masters of Arts in Health and Wellness Psychology, which lead her professional career into Marketing and Admissions Director, Physical Therapist Assistant, Family Wellness Coordinator, and Entrepreneur.  Treadway has worked extensively in areas of communication and customer service.

“We are excited to have Carla join our team,” said Economic Development Director, Tony Iriti. “Her experience and passion for the community, downtown specifically, are a great fit for the program.  Carla’s first priorities will be meeting those involved in the downtown, and becoming acquainted with committees and programs that are already underway.”

A program of the Alliance, the Coordinator position will report to the directly to the Economic Development office and Economic Development Advisory Board.  A Guiding Team, made up of Economic Development, Chamber of Commerce, and Convention and Visitors Bureau staff, along with City of Findlay, The Community Foundation, Downtown Findlay Improvement District, University of Findlay, and Downtown Findlay stakeholders will support the Downtown work plan.   The Downtown Findlay program of work includes items such as; developing strategies for downtown economic development utilizing the community’s human and economic resources, developing public awareness and education programs designed to enhance appreciation of the downtown’s architecture and other assets, helping to build strong and productive working relationships with public agencies at the local and state levels and representing the community at the local, state and national levels to important constituencies.

As the Downtown Findlay Coordinator, Treadway will be the principal on-site staff person charged with developing, organizing, implementing and documenting the downtown Findlay program of work.  She will be responsible for managing relations with and focusing the work of business owners, property owners, committee members, volunteers to accomplish the goals and objectives of the annual work plan.   Treadway resides in Findlay, enjoys competing in NPC figure competitions, dirt track racing, and spending time with her husband and children.
