Members of GreaterFindlayInc. have an opportunity to build value added programs and ideas by volunteering their time and resources for various committees and councils. Click on committee and council titles to learn more.
Ambassador Committee
Business leaders serve as representatives of GreaterFindlayInc. at official functions such as grand openings, ribbon cuttings, Outstanding Customer Service Award, and ground breaking ceremonies. This is a great opportunity for businesses to get their foot in the door. Over 50+ ceremonies are performed annually.
Agri-Business Committee
To ensure the heritage of Hancock County, agricultural leaders take part in planning the annual Farmers Share Breakfast; Farmers Market; Sausage Sale; and provide scholarships to graduating Greater Findlay seniors who are pursuing a career in an ag-related field.
Women's Leadership Forum Committee
This new, quarterly GFI program is designed to empower women in leadership roles within the Greater Findlay business region by providing professional development opportunities aimed at motivating and mentoring others.
Hancock County Safety Council
co-sponsored by the Bureau of Workers Compensation
The Hancock County Safety Council is partially funded through the Ohio Department of Safety and Hygiene and holds regular meetings to increase awareness of a safe environment in the workplace. The Council meets the first Thursday of each month at Owens Community College - Findlay Campus from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Cost to attend is $18 and includes lunch.

Economic Development Council
Technology Infrastructure Committee (TIC):
Established in 1999, the goals of the TIC are to stimulate economic development and stimulate the desirability to live, work, and play in Findlay/Hancock County through the use of technology and telecommunications.
Retention and Expansion
Facilitates the retention and/or expansion of jobs by existing employers.
Attraction and Recruitment
Expand current efforts to attract and recruit businesses to the Findlay/Hancock County area that will increase the average county wage, expand the tax base, create wealth in the community, and add to the quality of life in the area. These businesses will also complement existing industry and will come from the targeted industry list that will be generated by a GFI initiated countywide economic strategic plan.
Sites, Buildings, and Infrastructure
Develop job-ready sites and buildings through the examination of available ground and buildings in the area to provide product for interested companies seeking a location.
Promotions, Marketing, Communications, and Events
Identify, create, fundraise as necessary and implement a range of marketing, public relations and promotions collateral and events to advance the image of the community, the interests of GreaterFindlayInc. (GFI) and collaborations between existing organizations that yield a specific and identifiable benefit to the community's development effor(s).
The Center for Entrepreneurship
Maintain and expand the service offerings of GFI to provide management assistance to start-up and existing small business in any area of need.
